Inviting others to join is the primary way to speed up the Green Dominoes project, increase your domino effect, and assist the planet

the idea

Green Dominoes aims to do more than just increase awareness of global warming and climate change. Green Dominoes is about taking large scale action. Each of us constantly hears that we individually make a difference by our day to day lifestyle choices and best endevours to reduce our individual "carbon footprints".

But realistically how many people feel that the effort is worth it unless the other six billion cohabitants of planet earth do their bit as well.

Since legislation seems unlikely to turn the tide then perhaps the collective efforts of a worldwide web community could have some sort of effect. In any event it would be fun to find out ...

The success of this project will depend on two key factors: the number of people involved, and the actions that those people are prepared to take.

Green Dominoes does not advocate lobbying, campaigning, or any other type of political activity. There are more than enough groups out there doing that. Green Dominoes is about action. It's about doing the right thing and encouraging others to do the same. It's about realising that you are not acting alone and you can influence the actions of people way beyond your personal network of family and friends.

The objective is to encourage every person on the planet who has access to the internet and email to take part to some degree or another. That's about one billion people. Most importantly that demographic is heavily weighted to those of us that currently put the biggest demands on planet earth's resource. Right now, a certain percentage do not care about the environment, and inevitably will ignore a project like this. Nevertheless as climate change becomes more evident and individuals anticipate the inevitable personal consequences, we expect to see a rapid increase in interest.
